A bill has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to amend the legislation on parole from serving a sentence – for military service under a contract during a special period.
Draft Law No. 11079 registered in Parliament on March 13. They propose to the Rada to allow prisoners to serve in the army.
The document proposes to amend the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and other laws on parole and early release from serving a sentence. The text of the bill is not yet available. The initiators of the document are the head of the Servant of the People party Elena Shulyak, a group of people’s deputies from the SN and a representative of the Golos faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
