Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things is nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category and will compete with Oppenheimer, Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon, Holding, Maestro and American Fantasy “at the 96th Oscars.
Lanthimos’s Irish/British/American production, starring Emma Stone as a woman brought back from the dead, received 11 nominations, two fewer than Oppenheimer, which led all other films with 13 nominations, including acting noms for Killian’s stars Murphy, Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr.

The winners of the gold statuettes will be announced at a Hollywood ceremony on March 10.
In early January, Bad Things won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Comedy/Musical at the 81st Golden Globes.
