Prince Albert II of Monaco will visit Elafonissos for the Eco-Week Symposium on 29 May.
The Prince’s visit to the island off the southern tip of the Peloponnese takes place in the context of participation in the 6th Sustainability Symposium during the Elafonissos EcoWeek-Green Challenge 2023 (May 29-June 4).
According to the organizers, the ECO-SUSTAINABLE SYMPOSIUM promotes sustainable development and community cooperation. This year’s meeting, the 6th in a row, is devoted to the following issues:
- Circular economy and private environmental action.
- Public plans to ensure the sustainability of territories.
- Public participation in the planning and implementation of sustainable actions.
“The event will determine the future for the protection of our territories, along with gastronomic and artistic events,” the message reads. Elafonisos Eco Week.
The mayor of Elafonisos, Efi Liarou, participated in a conference in Monaco last month dedicated to protecting the ecosystem of the aquamarine Mediterranean.
