Where will the Greeks go on Clean Monday

Pre-booking on short-term rental platforms in popular winter destinations reaches 89%, while high mobility is also recorded in unpopular destinations this season, such as Kalamata, Nafplio, Nafpaktos, as well as in the Achaean capital, the “queen” of carnival events.

The three-day weekend on Clean Monday is Saturday 25 February, Sunday 26 and Monday 27/02. Residents of Greece are already browsing websites looking for great deals on where to go. Quarantine during the pandemic has left its mark on the habits of the Greeks, who do not recognize any “constraint and restrictions” when it comes to relaxation, whether it’s going to a club, having a coffee or a trip out of town.

Despite the fact that it is not yet the “season”, many people intend to go on vacation (of course, those who are financially able, at least to some extent, at least for gasoline, a modest overnight stay away from home and an unpretentious breakfast / lunch / dinner).
