A Greek company is doing “gold business” in Davos, where the World Economic Forum is taking place, by selling – what else? – traditional souvlaki.
In Davos, the favorite street food of the Greeks, of course, is sold at a different price, which we are used to in the vastness of our homeland. Currently, in Greece, the price of a “envelope” of souvlaki-gyros reaches 3.5 euros. In Davos, its cost is 19 francs (19 euros), and the “box” is 23 francs. Despite the steep price, the Greek employee only has time to “spin”.
“The company is based in Zurich. We arrive at all events: festivals, festivities, generally everywhere. Throughout the country we have four restaurants and 5 “away” dining rooms. We came to Davos for a week. Here we fight to feed those present at the international forum. Greeks and foreigners “respect” Greek souvlaki very much. Among foreign citizens who love gyros, one can note Americans, British and Indians. However, other citizens from all over the world are in a hurry to taste the traditional Greek dish, ”the enterprising Greek said in an interview with journalists of the MEGA channel. “We have pork, chicken, and halloumi cheese gyros and even vegan souvlaki (with fava),” the entrepreneur said.
