Explosions, fire and thick smoke, according to photographs and videos, are observed from the Belbek air base, one of the largest Russian air bases in Crimea.
In this area, not far from Sevastopol, is the Russian air base Belbek, the headquarters of the 27th Directorate of the Russian Air Force.
Russian fighters of the Su-27SM/Su-30/Su-35 type are stationed at the air base.

According to local media, the cause of the fire was the plane, which rolled out of the runway.

Later, Razvozhaev added that when the plane left the runway, a partial explosion of ammunition occurred.
“During landing, the aircraft went beyond the runway, there was a partial explosion of ammunition. The pilot managed to evacuate. The fire was quickly extinguished, the airfield was not damaged,” he said.
