Traffic on line 1 ΗΣΑΠ was suspended due to a tragedy on the tracks. The woman fell on the railway tracks near Ano Patissia station under unclear circumstances.
The townswoman threw herself off the pedestrian bridge onto the rails, hitting a power line. Firefighters were alerted immediately and an evacuation operation was organized. 12 firefighters arrived at the scene in 4 specialized vehicles. Traffic on line 1 ΗΣΑΠ has been temporarily suspended (on the sections PIRAEUS-ATTICA and N. IONIA-KIFISIA).
The victim, who was unconscious, was rescued from the “trap” of transport routes. Unfortunately, after examination, paramedics pronounced her dead.
The details of the incident are being investigated, the recordings from CCTV cameras are being studied.
