Oil deliveries from Russia to Hungary increased by 41%, although from July 1 to July 14, the total export of Russian oil to non-CIS countries fell by 0.9%.
In addition to Hungary, China also became the “favorite”, having increased the supply of Russian oil by more than 7%. Pipeline exports to Hungary reached 20.7 thousand tons daily, to China – 113.6 thousand tons. Russia slightly increased oil supplies to Slovakia (by 3.8%, to 8.1 thousand tons) and to the Czech Republic (2%, to 9.8 thousand tons).
But in some European countries, oil supplies from Russia have fallen since the beginning of July: to Germany by 19% (to 31.9 thousand tons per day), to Poland by 5.8% (to 30.8 thousand tons).
Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Foreign Minister, has previously stated that it is impossible to refuse deliveries of Russian oil and gas. The country asked for an exception to the oil embargo from Russia, as otherwise it would be “physically impossible” to provide Hungary with enough fuel, writes BB.LV.
