John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the US National Security Council, spoke about the main goals of the NATO and G7 summits.
According to Kirby, as reported on White House website, all of them are connected with the solution of the war in Ukraine. The first goal is to increase firm US support for a sovereign democratic Ukraine and hold Russia accountable for the war.
The second goal is the global economy, managing disruptive risks for it in the context of rising fuel and food prices.
The third key goal is the formation of an information vision of the world in which democracy is able to realize its potential and defeat authoritarian and corrupt approaches.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called the upcoming summit of the alliance, which will be held June 28-30 in Madrid, a summit of transformations.
