This year, Katerini is preparing to solemnly celebrate the 77th anniversary of the Victory.
On May 9, the city will host thematic cultural and educational events with the support of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow, the press service of the department reports.
The screening of the documentary film “Battle for Berlin”, with Greek subtitles, will be held at the “Amephistos” concert center. The 1945 Victory Parade will also be shown. Well-known and very young artists will take part in a large festive concert, the repertoire will include songs from the front-line years.
The mobile exhibition in the lobby of the center will feature unique wartime footage dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow.
Activists of Russian-speaking communities, representatives of Greek political and public organizations, members of compatriots’ organizations, journalists and, of course, the main guests – WWII veterans living in Greece, are invited to a big holiday in honor of Victory Day, writes GreekReporter.
