"Gazprom" made Bulgaria and Poland freeze

Gazprom has completely cut off gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria. The reason is the refusal of these countries to pay for blue fuel in rubles. The Russian company said in a statement:

“As of the end of the business day on April 26, Gazprom Export has not received payments for gas supplies in April from Bulgargaz (Bulgaria) and PGNiG (Poland) in rubles. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. ., payments for gas supplied from April 1 must be made in rubles using the new details, about which the counterparties were informed in a timely manner.

According to “Interfax”Gazprom Export notified Bulgargaz and PGNiG of the suspension of gas supplies – from April 27 until payment is made in accordance with the procedure established by the decree.

Gazprom reminds:

“Bulgaria and Poland are transit states. In case of unauthorized withdrawal of Russian gas from transit volumes to third countries, supplies for transit will be reduced by this volume.”

As our publication reported, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed translate calculations with Gazprom for gas supplies to Europe in rubles “as soon as possible.” Putin justified the transition to payments for blue fuel in rubles by the fact that the currency reserves of the Bank of Russia were frozen member countries EU.

If this condition is not met, deliveries will be terminated.
