On Friday afternoon (28/06) a 13-year-old girl in Halkidiki was killed by lightning.
The tragic incident occurred at around 4.30 pm while she was at Possidi Beach and according to initial information, the minor's mother suffered minor injuries.
Despite the fact that EKAB rescuers quickly rushed to the scene to provide first aid, they were unable to save the child's life. She was taken to Cassandra Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. It is noted that bad weather with heavy rainfall has set in in the Chalkidiki region today.
The Cassandra Police Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident.
