The child received a facial burn from "mad" firecrackers

A tragedy almost occurred in Patras: at a school “prom” party, a 9-year-old boy was injured by an exploding firecracker.

“Without five minutes the tragedy” occurred at the Kallithea primary school in the municipality of Patreon on the evening of Saturday, June 15, during a school holiday.

According to tempo24.news, “fireworks” were brought into the classroom and lit in honor of the end of the school year. But suddenly something went wrong, and firecrackers began to fly in all directions in the yard where people had gathered. The children began to run away in panic, as did their parents. One “crazy” firecracker hit a schoolboy in the chest, causing him serious burns.

The victim was taken to the Children's Hospital “Καραμανδάνειο Νοσοκομείο Παίδων”, where he was given first aid. The boy is still in the hospital. He has burns on his chest and face.

According to the same media, the head of a local cultural association who brought low-quality firecrackers was taken to the police. However, he was later released by order of the prosecutor.
