A real paradise two hours from Athens: white sand beach and turquoise water

At a distance of 2 hours from the center of Athens there is a beautiful beach, suitable for those who love short trips by car or motorcycle, as well as the untamed charm of nature.

Like every summer, this year most people are looking for a place nearby where they can relax without the crowds of vacationers and plunge into the sea. So, in search of the perfect destination, that is, one that combines a pleasant journey by car or motorbike with the natural beauty of a paradise beach, we looked into the well-hidden “treasures” of Evia.

The beach, known as Magiras (Μάγειρας), captivates from the first minute, striking with its snow-white sand and blue-green crystal clear waters. It is located in the central part of the island of Evia, about 150 kilometers from Athens, in the municipality of Kymi Aliveri.

Thus, under normal conditions, about two hours from Athens, you can swim in the waters of the Aegean Sea and enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of the coast. If you are one of the lucky ones and the wind is not so strong, then a visit to the magnificent Magiras Beach will almost certainly be an unforgettable experience.

Please note that 4 kilometers from Magueiras Beach is the picturesque village of Agia Apostolos, where you can either spend the night in one of the village's rooms or enjoy a meal against the backdrop of the endless blue of the Aegean Sea.
