Abdulov learned to use his charisma in early childhood. He was born in Tobolsk, but soon moved to Fergana with his parents. It was there that little Sasha first appeared on the theater stage – his father Gavriil Abdulov was a director and tried to instill in his sons a love of art from childhood.

Little Abdulov's hobbies were the same as those of other boys. He built huts, played hooligans, and played Cossack robbers. The actor’s friends recalled how they once went to the river with Abdulov. There, the young entertainer lit a fire and began to fry a chicken that had come from somewhere. Love for the Beatles, yard fights, bad grades and fencing – these are Abdulov's school years. However, despite his eccentric character, Abdulov was able to enter GITIS. But even studying at a prestigious university in the capital did not make him a diligent student.

In those years, the artist had an affair with a medical student. To get rid of couples, Abdulov asked the girl to write him fake certificates. The circuit was reliable, like a Swiss watch, but… The mechanism flew when it was discovered that each certificate had a stamp from the maternity hospital. Abdulov could not explain how he was connected to this medical institution.

The romantic side of Alexander Abdulov's life was bright and varied. Before his marriage to Irina Alferova, he dated an American Karen, whom he called Katya. It was already getting close to the wedding, but suddenly KGB representatives came to see Abdulov. They demanded that he become an informant, using information he could obtain from Karen.

His career was at stake, but Abdulov did not want to betray his beloved. The artist invited the girl to break up, and soon after the breakup, the American beauty was declared an agent of foreign intelligence and expelled from the Soviet Union.

Alexander Abdulov died in 2008, but he could have died much earlier, several years before that. One day Abdulov urgently needed to get from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Due to bad weather, the flight was delayed, so Abdulov had to spend several hours waiting.
