Authorities arrested a 45-year-old man originally from Albania after an investigation revealed that he was driving without a license. His car was stopped by police on Saturday, May 25, in Heraklion (Crete).
A case of forgery has been opened against a foreigner because the man showed the police fake ID for violating the Law on Foreigners, and an administrative fine was imposed for violating the COC.
However, the surprises for the police did not end there, as during the ongoing investigation carried out by the Maleviz Police Department, it turned out that there is a international arrest warrant for murder and illegal possession of weapons that took place in Albania in 2014.
In the same time his involvement in a rape case under a false name is being investigated, since there is a corresponding complaint. The investigation into the case continues at the Malevizi Police Department.
