Gaza Strip: UN staff shelled, at least 1 killed (video)


Today, Monday (13/5), a UN employee was killed and several other people were injured during a shootout in the Gaza Strip. According to sources, a UN employee was killed near the European Hospital east of the town of Khan Yunis in the south of the sector.

In addition, a Palestinian driver was killed and a World Health Organization staff member was injured when a car was fired upon in eastern Rafah.

Medical sources also reported that two UN staff were wounded, one of whom suffered serious injuries at the Rafah crossing in the southern Gaza Strip. IDF sources said they have launched an investigation to determine whether the UN members were fired upon by Israeli soldiers.

The death toll from the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to 35,091. More than 78,827 people were injured.
