A new study by Tourix focuses on the rankings obtained by the Greek airports with the highest passenger traffic for 2023.
Analyzing more than 30,800 user reviews on the Google platform in 2023, some interesting facts emerge. Samos Airport has the most positive image with a rating of 4.46 out of 5, and in second place is Mytilene Airport with a rating of 4.45. They are followed by the airports of Thessaloniki and Kavala with an indicator of 4.39. The top 5 airports in Greece with the best ratings for 2023 also include Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” with 4.25 points out of 5.
In contrast, Heraklion Airport continues to be the airport with the lowest score in Greece in 2023, with a further decrease compared to 2022, receiving 2.43 out of 5 (from 2.69 in 2022). It is followed by the airports of Chios (3.07), Kalamata (3.08), Mykonos (3.32) and Paros (3.36). 2023 and 2022, interesting points:
- Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport saw a slight negative change in user rating in 2023 (4.26 from 4.35), but this deprived it of the first place it received in 2022 in the list of the highest rated Greek airports.
- The airports of Karpathos, Paros, Kefalonia and Mytilene were those that recorded the largest positive annual percentage change in 2023 compared to 2022. In contrast, the airports of Kalamata, Chios, Heraklion and Skiathos recorded the largest negative annual percentage change in their score.
To ensure the reliability of the data, only airports that received more than 145 ratings and served more than 250,000 passengers during the period under review were included in the study.
