In a Ukrainian circus, child acrobats fell from a height (video)

In the Ukrainian city of Zaporozhye, teenage circus performers fell from a height of three meters during a performance.

At the Zaporozhye State Circus, while performing a gymnastic act, minor acrobats fell from a height; they are in the hospital, it says message regional police:

“The situation occurred during a gymnastics routine. Two gymnasts – a 15-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl – fell from a 3-meter height and fell into the arena. As a result of the fall, the children were injured. Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances and causes of the incident.”

The acrobat's hand slipped from the rope he was holding on to, and he fell onto the arena with his partner holding his leg. The incident occurred on Saturday April 27 during a performance. The video, made by one of the spectators with strong nerves, shows how it all happened. Fortunately for the artists, everything ended more or less successfully; tragedy was avoided: the young man suffered a broken leg, and the girl suffered a concussion and other injuries of varying degrees of complexity.

“The children are now in the hospital, there is no threat to their lives,” the police said. Investigators entered information about the incident into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 271 (Violation of labor protection legislation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Quite dangerous incidents often occur at circus performances. For example, in this video, an elephant falls directly on the audience:
