On Saturday evening, April 20, parents brought their one-year-old daughter dead to the Kos hospital. As a result of an examination of the child by doctors, traces of sexual abuse were allegedly discovered.
The circumstances of the death of a one-year-old baby remain a mystery that a forensic medical examination will help solve. According to the first findings ΕΛ.ΑΣ., numerous abrasions and bruises were found on her body, signs of sexual violence, and there was food in her throat, which impeded breathing.
The girl's body was taken to Rhodes for an autopsy. The parents were detained pending the results of the examination. It is known that they came from central Greece on vacation. There is one more child in the family.
On Sunday evening, information emerged from the medical examiner that the baby died from asphyxiation after choking on food. The remaining findings are consistent with this cause of death. The bruises on the body appeared earlier and are not related to death. The parents are going to be arrested for the baby's death. Today, Monday April 22, they will appear before the prosecutor.
