The 58-year-old TV presenter was arrested by police from the anti-extortion department in Thessaloniki. According to the website grtimes.gr, the man demanded money on behalf of the 39-year-old former manager of the model, who had previously caused concern to the judiciary.
The prosecutor's office of first instance opened a criminal case against the latter two and another unidentified person. They are accused in an attempt to racketeer in conspiracy and serial extortion. The case of the first accused, who was arrested on Saturday (04/20/24) as part of a car procedure, was transferred for consideration to the court of first instance of Thessaloniki. The other two are wanted by police.
The case was initiated on the basis of a complaint from the 44-year-old singer, who reported to the police that the second accused was blackmailing him. In particular, he indicated that he asked him about 15,000 euros for the withdrawal of relevant publications, which stated that the singer was a pedophile and had sexually abused a 13-year-old boy for three months.
On April 20, a 46-year-old man approached the same police station and complained that the second defendant was asking him to pay him 200,000 euros by blackmail for withdrawing similar publications about the sexual abuse of a minor. The first accused allegedly called the man to ask him for some of the money after reaching an agreement with the second accused. During their meeting at a hotel near the airport, he was arrested by Thessaloniki security police.
