Fire at the largest plant in the United States for the production of 155-mm shells – an accident or something else?

Under unclear circumstances, a fire broke out at the largest plant in the United States for the production of 155-mm artillery shells in Scranton (USA).

The #Scranton plant, which produces shells for Ukraine, is on fire.

This is a state-owned enterprise, and it is here that batches of shells sent to Ukraine are produced. There is no information on whether it was sabotage or an accident.

Authorities issued a statement urging residents to stay away from the city center for safety reasons, and the roads were closed. The fire is reported to be extinguished or under control. The plant is one of seven producing ammunition for the US Army.
