A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday morning 1/4 in Patrid Veria when a car crashed into a bus stop.
The driver lost control of it and, knocking down everything in its path, crashed into a bus stop. The driver of the car referred to illness and because of this, allegedly, lost control, driving into oncoming traffic and causing an accident.

From a violent collision, a 68-year-old the woman flew between the gazebo of the neighboring house and landed on the cement of the yard, where she died a couple of minutes later. 21 year old the girl was picked up by an EKAV ambulance and taken with serious injuries to the Berea hospital, where she died soon after.
“The tragedy occurred around 10.00. The driver of a car traveling along the main road of Patrida, aged 65-70, must have lost consciousness or fallen asleep and crashed into a bus stop where the woman and girl were killed. The car threw the woman more than ten meters, due to which she died a few minutes later, and later the young girl also died,” told protothema.gr President of the community of Patrida Veria Yiannis Sidiropoulos.
It is noteworthy that the bus for which the dead were waiting was literally 50 meters from the scene of the tragedy. The victims lacked a few seconds…
The Veria traffic police are investigating the exact causes of the tragedy.
