Dead child found in Patras

On Wednesday morning, March 20, law enforcement authorities in Patras were alerted to the discovery of a dead baby.

According to pelop.gr, the baby was found unconscious in the house where he lived with his parents, a Roma family, on Evristeos Street in Patras.

How the child’s death occurred – due to negligence or for physiological reasons (as a result of illness) – the police will still have to figure out, and if there are culprits, punish them to the fullest extent of the law.

According to information received later, it became known that the mother of the one-year-old baby got up at 6 in the morning to feed him, but he did not react at all. The Roma family immediately called an ambulance to take the child to the hospital, but, as it turned out, it was too late, doctors declared him dead.

According to relatives, the baby had serious health problems, and his parents took him to the hospital every month for examination by doctors. However, it is not yet known what problem he had.
