Robot "with passport" Sofia for the first time in Greece

Sophia, the world’s first android citizen with a passport created by Hanson Robotics, comes from Hong Kong to the MEET SOPHIA CONFERENCE, co-organized by IEK ALFA, Mediterranean College, Holy Transfiguration Monastery of Nafpaktos and Victorious Team.

Thanks to the important innovations that have occurred over the years in the field of “Technology and Education”, such as the introduction of the first Apple computer in Greece by Rainbow, the XYNI group, Professor Xinis and IEK ALPHA, being pioneers of a new era and technology, “invited” the robot Sophia to our country (the first full-fledged android in the world) in order to emphasize the need for the development of artificial intelligence in conjunction with ethics.

For the first time in Greece, a conference on the current topic “Ai With Ethics” is being held. 150 senior business executives, scientists, religious representatives and experts in the field of artificial intelligence will take part in the MEET SOPHIA CONFERENCE. The event will take place on Sunday, March 10, at 12.00-16.00, at the Nafpaktos International Conference Center of the Transfiguration Monastery of Sotiros.

It is planned to hold 2 discussion lectures (lasting 1.5 hours each) on the topics: “Artificial Intelligence and Ethics” and “Artificial Intelligence and Education”. There will also be an “open conversation” with the robot Sofia.
