The provocateur who threw bottles of Molotov cocktails into the parliament building was caught by photo reporters.
During the protest, several people with their faces covered with masks ran out of the crowd and began throwing Molotov cocktails towards the Parliament building and the monument to the Unknown Soldier.
Police immediately responded with tear gas and stun grenades.
Due to the clouds of tear gas and the ensuing panic, the bulk of the demonstrators began to flee from Syntagma Square, but the march did not disperse, although tension remained for several minutes.
Let us remind you that the center of Athens is closed for three rallies and marches that are taking place today as part of the 24-hour ADEDY strike, but mainly on the day of the one-year anniversary of the Tempi train disaster with 57 deaths.
15,000 demonstrators gathered on the Propylaea, heading towards the Hellenic Train offices, 2,000 demonstrators on Hautia and 3,500 on Kleitmonos Square.
Earlier, police made four arrests on Academy and Vukourestiou streets after Molotov cocktails were found in their backpacks.
