Currently, a large-scale anti-heroic operation of the Office for the Prevention of Special Crimes Related to Violence is being carried out in Athens (ΔΑΕΕΒ). It is reported that 8 people have been detained and have already been taken to the Atiki Police Headquarters.
According to the same information, the arrests are related to the terrorist attack that occurred January 25 at the bank on Three Saints Street in Petralona.
Three days after the explosion, the terrorist group Revenge Plot claimed responsibility for it.
The same organization claimed responsibility for the explosion in the Haidari prison on July 15, 2023 and for the attack on the ERGOMAR office of the famous businessman Dimitris Marinelis in Kifissia on November 16, 2023.
The Anti-Terrorism Department is conducting searches in ten houses to seize evidence, while investigators continue to investigate whether they are behind other attacks on judges, such as the recent letter bombing at the Thessaloniki Court of Appeal.
Police are also conducting searches in the homes of those arrested.
