A train with Greek 155-mm artillery shells from Greek warehouses in Kekhrie was destroyed by Russian saboteurs near the village of Serebria, Vinnytsia region of Ukraine.

The train was traveling from Romania, where there were ammunition (about 7,000 tons) removed from warehouses, reports a leading Greek publication ProNews with reference to their sources. Russian saboteurs mined explosives along the tracks along which the train, which they were monitoring from Romania using satellites, was supposed to pass.

Satellites recorded trucks loaded with ammunition arriving at the loading site, and then special trains arriving in the area and loading 155mm shells that the Greek ministry said were expired or near expiration.

Amounts for ammunition paid to Greece from the general fund EU.

“The ammunition depot is located in Kechris because there is a beach there, which makes it easier to load ammunition for the islands of the eastern Aegean with easier access by armored boats,” – sources told the publication from the General Staff of the Greek Armed Forces.

This information was also published on February 17 by the Russian Telegram– channel “Kovpak’s Squad”. Authors of the telegram channel “Welders“In particular, they report that “The train was derailed by Ukrainian partisans. A section of the railway was disabled.”
