Romanian impostors received benefits and money like Ukrainian refugees

The Romanians took advantage of the situation and sought help in Germany as Ukrainian refugees.

They received financial support, housing and many benefits, but they were let down… by their lack of knowledge of the Ukrainian language, writes Digi24 publication. At the same time, there were more than a thousand such impostors, as the migration service found out.

It remains a mystery how the Romanians managed to pull off the scam, but the fact, as they say, is obvious. They appeared where the authorities offered assistance to refugees and stated that they needed support because they had left the zone of military conflict. They were provided with accommodation, food and assistance. The deception was revealed after the volunteers noticed that many “refugees” do not speak or understand Ukrainian.

During the investigation, it turned out that more than 1,300 people live in southwest Germany alone who are not from Ukraine. Among them were many Romanians who took advantage of the situation and the goodwill of the Berlin authorities.

Let us remind you that Germany is among the countries that have received more than a million Ukrainians, according to the latest data from the Council of Europe. Those who arrived here fleeing the war received immediate protection and support.
