Farmers at the national meeting in Nikaya, Larissa, at noon on Tuesday (6/2), decided to block national roads and take their tractors to Athens next week.
In particular, farmers at a meeting in Larissa decided to intensify mobilization and from tomorrow, Wednesday, to block all points on national and provincial roads with their tractors.
Farmers put forward 6 main demands:
- exemption of agricultural diesel fuel from taxes.
- 7 cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity.
- Subsidizing supplies and feed.
- The new ΚΑΠ should not be implemented and should be revised
- 100% compensation and replacement of lost income with products
- No illegal imports
The individual demands of the farmers of Thessaly to restore the damage caused by Cyclone Daniel will be listed in the annex to their main demands.
After two and a half hours of meeting, farmers decided to strengthen their mobilization in three main areas:
- Starting tomorrow, simultaneously block all points on the highway, provincial highway and customs with tractors.
- Each blockade will be carried out in the city.
- Next week there is a rally in Athens with tractors.
Today farmers are blocking the Nikea-Larissa highway with their tractors.
