The deadline for applying for heating electricity benefits has been extended until February 5, Environment and Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis said in an interview with Parapolitika 90.1 radio station.
The deadline was extended due to the fact that the number of applications did not exceed 400,000, while an estimated 1.2 million consumers expressed interest. As a reminder, the deadline for submitting applications on the myHeating platform would have been today, Friday 19 January. The subsidy applies to January, February and March. The amount ranges from 45 to 480 euros as a one-time payment, which will be provided to the invoice received from the relevant supplier.
How to apply
- An interested party enters the platform myAADE.
- Enter the electrical number of your primary residence.
- Enter the area of your home.
- Select whether you are the owner, tenant or guest in this residential premises, and add the necessary data, for example, the tenant’s VAT number.
- Fill out your contact information.
The process ends with the final submission of the application and immediately the person concerned is informed whether his or her application has been “accepted” or “rejected” as well as the reasons for refusal.
