Stores will be open tomorrow, Sunday 14 January, for the first week of the winter sales.
The proposed opening hours for small shops are 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, while shopping malls and department stores will be open from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Please note that stores will remain open for one more Sunday, January 21st, the final week of sales, which ends on February 29th.
Representatives of the trade market urge consumers to take advantage of a large number of discounts. In their opinion, revenues will exceed 6 billion euros in two months, January-February this year. The optimism is largely based on positive consumer psychology, wage increases, mainly for government employees, as well as bold discounts that reach up to 70% in some product categories. Weather conditions (cold temperatures) will play a catalytic role, which determines the need for citizens… to stock up on winter clothing.
Shopping centers and branded chains, especially in the clothing and footwear sector, are expected to once again lead sales. In addition to tempting discounts and a rich variety of products, multinational brands offer “ally” marketing, which they use to attract the most dynamic part of consumers, especially youth and women.
