DYPA: "Career Day" in Athens January 26-27

By holding new “Career Days” in 2024, an initiative that is part of a set of active policies and actions to strengthen employment, the State Employment Service (DYPA) is trying to strengthen its intermediary role in the labor market in order to achieve an effective connection between supply and demand.

In this context, DYPA is organizing the 24th Career Days event in Athens, which will take place on Friday-Saturday 26 and 27 January 2024 at the Peristeri Exhibition Center (Dodekanisou 106, Peristeri 12134), from 10:00 to 18:00.

According to DYPA, Career Day is now established as a regularly scheduled event that is “supported” by local communities and has a high response rate. on the part of employers, as well as on the part of those looking for workas evidenced by the ever-increasing number of companies participating and the keen interest of citizens.

Moreover, the results recorded for the unemployed and for enterprises are positive, since in many cases Recruitment is carried out immediately after the event, and the process of finding suitable personnel continues during the next period. By organizing such events, DYPA’s Medium and Large Enterprise Services (MEMME) has significantly helped the workforce find stable and quality jobs and businesses find the right talent.

According to the plan, the next “Career Days”, which are already planned, will take place in January in Athens, in February in Thessaloniki, in March in Heraklion (Crete), in April in Kilkis, in May in Volos and in June in Chalkis.

On “Career Days” DYPA, which will take place on January 26 and 27, 2024 at the Peristeri Exhibition Center, unemployed people, as well as those who are looking for a better job or have various professional skills, have the opportunity to communicate directly with representatives of companies from many sectors of economic activity that have vacancies and need personnel with appropriate qualifications.

So far, the two-day event will feature more than 100 companies offering more than 2,500 jobs across a wide range of skills and all educational levels. Entrance to the event freeregistration can be found at https://www.eventora.com/el/Events/imera-karieras-dypa-Athina-2024.

In particular applicants will have the opportunity to directly, without an appointment, communicate with the heads of companies who are looking for personnel, explore career opportunities in various areas of interest to them, learn about the range of available vacancies and working conditions.

It will also be possible to meet with specialized employment consultants and managers of the support service for medium and large enterprises (MEMME), and receive information about DYPA activities and services.

From my side companies looking for personnelwill be able to meet with a large number of candidates to fill vacancies, while they will be able to conduct interviews and collect resumes from candidates, show them to a significant number of interested partiesn.

Over two days, DYPA will implement activities within the framework of the European Year of Skills with the participation of teachers and students of vocational schools (EPAS). At the same time, participants will have the opportunity to learn about relevant initiatives at a special stand.
