Pensions for February: payment dates for all funds

In 20 days, pension payments for February 2024 will begin, with six categories of pensioners receiving a 3% increase.

About 1.4 million retirees have no personal difference and will receive the full 3% increase. Another 200,000 pensioners will receive a smaller increase because part of it will be offset against personal differences.

Increase in salaries and pensions

Institutionalized changes will lead to higher wages and pensions in 2024, an increase in tax on freelancers declaring low incomes, a reduction in business tax and large-scale tax audits using electronic cross-checks and artificial intelligence.

For the first time in 13 years, salaries of public sector workers will increase by an average of 6.5%. This means that they will receive an average of €1,476 more each year. For civil servants, the family allowance increases by 20-50 euros, depending on the number of children, and the living allowance increases by 30%.

When are pensions paid?

The payment dates for retirees of all funds in February 2024 are expected to be as follows:

• pensioners who retired from 1.1.2017 and later (Law 4387/2016)
• for all pensioners of the EFKA pension fund February 2024 (working and non-working) from 1.1.2017 onwards (Law 4387/2016), pensions in these two categories will be paid on Friday 26 January 2024.
• IKA will pay pensions for February 2024 on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
• ΟΑΕΕ on Friday, January 26, 2024.
• Regional State Administration on Friday, January 26, 2024.
• ΕΤΑΑ (not employees) will pay pensions for February 2024 on Friday, January 26, 2024.
• ΕΤΑΑ (non-employees) will pay pensions in February 2024 on Friday 26 January 2024

Pensions under ΝΑΤ

• ΝΑΤ will pay pensions for February 2024 on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Public sector pensions

Date of payment of pensions to public sector employees for February 2024:

• The government will pay pensions for February 2024 on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
• The remaining EFKA funds (Μισθωτών) will pay pensions for February 2024 on Tuesday 30 January 2024, as will the state.
• Pensions of the Armed Forces, security services and firefighters for February 2024 will be paid in the same way as the state.

Payment of basic and additional pensions on the same day

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the e-EFKA administration, has decided that the payment of basic and additional pensions will be made on the same day on a permanent basis. Thus, additional pensions for February 2024 will be paid on the same dates as the main pensions.
