In the digital wallet – driver’s license, insurance and KTEO

The countdown has begun for the launch of a digital mobile application, which will be connected to the car and will include all the necessary documents, such as license, insurance and vehicle registration certificate.

Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou said (SKAI) that the application will come into force in the coming days and added that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, checks will be carried out on vehicles operated without insurance and CTE.

The Minister also mentioned the start of inspections aimed at clearing the vehicle registry and announced that notifications would be sent to citizens about the expiration of vehicle insurance or insurance.

Once the final details are settled and the application is operational, drivers will for the first time be able to receive complete and comprehensive information about their vehicle on their mobile phone without visiting numerous government services.

Speaking about the digital property file, the minister said that meetings with notaries have already begun to normalize the operation of the platform, and expressed optimism that all problems will be resolved, and now transfers can be carried out on the same day.

At the same time, he said that as of yesterday, a bill on a new cybersecurity agency, which will be responsible for overseeing 2,000 organizations, both public and private, has been tabled for discussion.

“The New Greece is a digital Greece that is changing and this is visible in the daily lives of citizens” – said Dimitris Papastergiou.
