Police from the Lagada (Thessaloniki) Security Department arrested a 39-year-old man after they found 49 containers of olive oil of dubious quality, for which he did not have supporting documents.
According to the police, today, 9/12, in the area of the municipality of Lagadas, after checking a car belonging to a citizen, 49 plastic containers with a capacity of 5 liters each, labeled “Extra Olive Oil”, were found.
Product of dubious quality, for which there was no appropriate documentation, was confiscated and the citizen was arrested. The contents of each container were a different color, lacked a distinctive odor, and were not properly labeled. In addition, the man did not have documents with him to transport this cargo.
The person arrested will be brought before the competent judicial authority, and the confiscated cans of “olive oil” will be sent to E.F.ET Thessaloniki. There they will examine the product and give their verdict.
