Inflation fell in Greece as well as in the eurozone, according to preliminary data released today by Eurostat.
Inflation in Greece was 3% in November, while in the eurozone it was 2.4%. The main factors influencing price increases in Greece were higher prices for energy, food and alcoholic beverages.
Let us remind you that, according to Eurostat, inflation in Greece in October amounted to 3.8%, recording a slowdown of 4.3% compared to September.
Inflation rate in the eurozone in November 2023 was 4.5% compared to November 2022. This was a new record, exceeding the European Central Bank’s 2% target.
Among the eurozone countries, the highest inflation rate was recorded in Hungary (12.2%), and the lowest in the Netherlands (0.2%).
