At an event held in Athens on Monday, Chinese officials and the Greek host promised to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the future for the benefit of the people of both countries.
A delegation from the southern Chinese province of Guangdong held a meeting with Greek business representatives on Monday to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Chinese Ambassador to Greece Xiao Junzheng reminded participants of the visit of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Beijing on November 2-3, during which he stressed the importance of close ties between the two countries at a meeting with the Chinese leader.
Officials of the Guangzhou People’s Government invited representatives of the Greek business community to visit Guangzhou on the occasion of the 15th National Games of China 2025, the 9th Special Olympics and the 12th All China Sports Games for the Disabled, which will be jointly organized in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao provinces.
“We will be very happy to welcome businessmen and political representatives from Guangdong and organize more meetings to bring Chinese and Greek businessmen together to promote their business interests,” said Fotis Provatas, former vice mayor of Athens and honorary president of the Greek-Chinese Chamber of Economic Cooperation.
