50 teams from all over the world will take part in the World Barbecue Championship.
Meat & Fire chef Myrsini Lambrakis has been selected by the World Barbecue Association as the only female judge from Europe to represent Greece on the judging panel at the event, which takes place from November 17 to 19 in Costa Rica.
50 teams will take part in the World Barbecue Championship. Both the appearance and creativity of the dish and its garnish will be judged. Contestants will cook traditional meat dishes over charcoal. For this purpose, barbecues and smokehouses have already been prepared, structures installed over an open fire, which work and are heated exclusively with charcoal, briquettes, pellets and wood.
No other heat sources, such as electric grills and other electrical appliances, as well as ovens powered by industrial gas, will be used in the competition.
