Israel bombed a camp in the Gaza Strip again. Dozens of dead. White phosphorus bombs dropped on school

On Thursday afternoon (2/11), Israel again bombed the Gaza Strip and, in particular, the Beredj camp, killing dozens of people.

Broadcast footage showed dozens of people wounded and killed, and there were reports that Israel used white phosphorus bombs that were dropped on a UN school. At least 50 people were killed, according to Gaza’s health ministry. Israel has not yet commented on the situation.

Israel had just bombed a school in the Jabaliya camp housing displaced families. These are tragic images, but this is the result of Western policy in Palestine.

Video footage showed a UN school in Gaza being targeted with white phosphorus bombs, and Amnesty International senior adviser Donatella Rovera previously said the use of white phosphorus had been confirmed in Gaza and Lebanon.

ISRAEL Caught Dropping Illegal White Phosphorus Projectiles on UN School in Gaza!

Donatella Rovera said her organization tracked geographic footage of shells containing the chemical exploding over the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, and spoke with doctors who treated nine people in Lebanon for injuries caused by white phosphorus.

When a Human Rights Watch report made similar claims last month, the Israel Defense Forces denied using white phosphorus. However, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Peter Lerner did not deny this and even stated that the law on armed conflict allows its use.

Defense Secretary Gallant, in response to a question about the international legitimacy of the Israeli military operation: “In war, the mission is to win, everything else is less important. Whatever the cost, and even if some countries in the world don’t like it, we will continue until we defeat Hamas.”

“We have identified and verified video footage that shows artillery shells spewing white phosphorus being fired over Gaza and Lebanon,” said Donatella Rovera. “The evidence is completely irrefutable.”

According to her, neither Israel nor Hamas comply with international law during the conflict. At the same time, on October 7, Hamas launched a direct attack on the civilian population, and Israel is carrying out “indiscriminate and disproportionate bombing that killed thousands of children.”

Donatella Rovera continued: “It is very scandalous to see the inaction of the international community in the face of a catastrophe, a humanitarian crisis of such proportions. This is one of the most intense and deadly conflicts we have seen in recent memory.”

Since October 7, Israel has dropped the equivalent of two nuclear bombs (which were dropped on Hiroshima) on the Gaza Strip, according to Geneva-based Euro-Med Monitor.

At the same time, the death toll from bombings in Gaza is steadily rising. More than 9,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which is controlled by Hamas. Amid reports of an attack on a school in the Al-Shati refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, following two Israeli bombings of the Jabaliya camp in 24 hours, local authorities say the death toll has reached 195 and 120 people are missing.

According to the World Health Organization, white phosphorus is a chemical that ignites on contact with oxygen, sticks to surfaces, can re-ignite, and penetrates skin and bones.

Israeli Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzli Halevi said that troops are operating inside Gaza City and surrounding it from different sides, The Times of Israel reports.

“We have advanced to an important stage of the war. Our troops are in the heart of northern Gaza, operating in the city and completing the ground operation,” – he said.

“The force is fighting in a dense and complex urban area, which requires professional combat and courage,” he said, adding that ground forces are accompanied by precision reconnaissance, air and naval fire, as he said such cooperation makes the fight much more effective.

Halevi claims that this war has “painful and difficult price”: To date, 18 soldiers have been killed in the ground operation. He also claims that the Israeli army “must” bring home all hostages held by Hamas and other terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip.

“The army fights for the sanctity of life, against an enemy who has engraved death on his flag. We fight for our right to live in safety. We act with intelligence and determination,” – he concluded.
