A UK charity shop has made an unusual appeal to the public to stop “donating” sex toys.
On social media, Barnardo’s in Swansea urged members of the public not to bring these items, “whether used or unused”, to them. The post emphasized that people should remember that this children’s charity organization, and that their “wonderful team of volunteers” is made up of citizens of all ages.
As reported, people can donate (leave) “normal” items and things in stores (put them in a container specially installed in a designated area). The organization’s work is financed through their subsequent sales.
The leadership of the charitable organization notes, “if someone ignores the appeal, remember that there are cameras in the storethanks to which it is possible identify the owners of the donated items”.
Barnardo’s website has a list of things people can donate, including clothes, shoes, jewelry and books.
This is not the first time in Britain that unusual “gifts” have been reported. For example, someone donated to the Aberdeen store prosthetic leg complete with shoes. In addition, the British Red Cross sometimes received everything from sex toys, underwear to artificial dentures.

Let us remember that a similar call was also made in Greece when boxes of donations intended for people affected by the earthquake in Turkey contained “indecent things.”
Volunteers were reportedly amazed and sometimes disgusted when they came across “outrageous” items sent by well-wishers: used lace underwear, intimate items, as well as evening shoes and corsets…
