Two days of discussions in Granada ended today with an informal meeting of the European Council, which discussed enlargement, budget review, strategic autonomy and the thorny issue of migration, with the leaders of Poland and Hungary took a tough stance.

The migration issue divides Europe

The issue of enlargement was also on the agenda of the informal European Council in Granada, and the German Chancellor stressed that the time had come to complete the accession process of the Western Balkan countries: “It is well known that after 20 years of promises, we intend to finally admit the Western Balkan countries into the EU.
