Former assistant to the Armenian Presidential Adviser on National Security Vladimir Poghosyan expressed claims to Crimea.
He threatens to take away not only the peninsula, but also Sochi and Armavir:
“We can take Armavir, Sochi and Crimea. Crimea is generally 70% Armenian.”
The former assistant to the chief adviser to the President of Armenia on national security said this in his video message, writes edition “Country”. Poghosyan made the corresponding statement against the background situations with Nagorno-Karabakh, which recently came under the control of Azerbaijan.
Let us remind you that from January 1, 2024, the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh ceases to exist, as stated in the decree of the President of the Republic Samvel Shahramanyan. The decision to liquidate the unrecognized republic was made due to the difficult military-political situation, based on the “priority of ensuring the physical security of the people of Artsakh.” An agreement with representatives of Azerbaijan on the possibility for residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, including military personnel who have laid down their arms, to freely travel to Armenia through the Lachin corridor has also been taken into account.
Yesterday, September 29, Armenia filed a lawsuit against Azerbaijan at the International Court of Justice in connection with an alleged violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination against the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh.
