British baby killer nurse will spend the rest of her life behind bars (video)

Lucy Letby, a nurse who killed 7 newborn babies, was sentenced to life imprisonment.

In such a case, the conditions of early release do not apply. According to the judge, the premeditation of the woman’s actions and the cruelty of the crimes are appalling. James Goss, the judge, said to the defendant:

“During this trial, you defiantly denied responsibility for the crimes you committed and tried to blame others. You do not feel remorse. There are no extenuating circumstances. In the aggregate, the crimes of murder and attempted murder are especially serious, and a fair punishment required by law to be sentenced to life imprisonment.”

How tells CNN Greece, several parents who lost their children were crying in the yard. One of the mothers said that the murder of her son was like some kind of unrealistic horror story. Parents of children rescued from death at the hands of a nurse say they were left crippled.

The accused refused to appear in court for the announcement of the verdict, so as not to meet with the parents of the babies she killed. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the government plans to amend the law to require convicts to go to court to announce their verdict.

Our edition toldthat Nurse Lucy Letby, formerly of the National Health Service Hospital in Chester County, was charged with 22 charges – seven for murder and 15 for the attempted murder of 10 infants. A British jury found her guilty of killing seven children. Letby killed newborns from June 2015 to June 2016 by injecting them with air with a syringe while working as a nurse. She was also found guilty of attempted murder of children – by poisoning with insulin, overfeeding and introducing air to them.
