Greek police have arrested a 43-year-old fan of the Panathinaikos football club, a well-known stadium hooligan to law enforcement officers. An arrest warrant has been issued for his involvement in the bloody incidents in New Philadelphia, during which 29-year-old Michalis Katsouris was killed.

The detainee confessed to his involvement in violent incidents on one of the social networks.
Citing police sources, amna notes that the man is a notorious stadium hooligan with a history of fan violence and has been reported to the police. Last winter, when he was a witness in a football fan trial, a group of 30 people attacked and stabbed him outside the Court of Appeal.
Following Friday’s arrest, police are conducting an investigation at the arrested man’s home in the Gyzi district of Athens.
In parallel, the judiciary has data that is estimated to soon lead to the issuance of new arrest warrants.
