Biking on rails

A bicycle that rides on rails is a unique idea in Greece that is worth trying.

Unlike a regular bike, it does not need to be balanced, but has an instant stop mechanism that raises a protective shield for tourists in case of an emergency.

The route of the trip is 14 km and passes through the areas of Megara – Kakia Skala. Tours start October 28th. During the trip, you can see the monument to King Kare (Μνημείο του βασιλιά Κάρα), the historic lime kiln in the Stika area and much more.

Cycling along the rails, tourists can observe the daily activities of fishermen, view military buildings from the Second World War, and hear stories about the mythical robber Skiron, who was defeated by Theseus.

Those who choose evening train bike tourwill also take part in interesting time travel, combining the plots of ancient myths and modern history. The tour is led by a guide who, at the designated stop, takes travelers to, among other things, a secluded place where they can admire the radiance of minerals (which can only be observed at night).

It is worth noting that the whole walk lasts from 2 to 2.5 hours and prices start from 20 euros. It is also possible to provide exclusive tour. It can be a birthday or anniversary gift, wedding photography, etc.
