The Lycabettus Municipal Theatre, after 15 years, will reopen its doors to the public on September 15, 2023 with a landmark concert featuring one of the greatest Greek composers of popular music, Stavros Xarchakos.
The municipality of Athens took part in the competition and undertook the restoration of the cult theater, which is inextricably linked with the cultural life of the Greek capital and the memories of the Athenians. Restoration is in full swing, and the theater is regaining the shape conceived by its creator, architect Takis Zenetos.
Stavros Xarchakos is one of the outstanding composers, mainly theater and cinema.
One of his most famous compositions is the soundtrack and songs for the film “Rebetiko” by Costas Ferris.
