In celebration of World Lighthouse Day on Sunday, August 20, 2023, the Hellenic Navy is reopening lighthouses across the country to the public.
During their visit, citizens will be able to learn about the contribution of lighthouses to the safety of navigation, the use of their network as a cultural heritage, as well as the contribution of lighthouse keepers to the operation of this network.
The following lighthouses on the mainland and islands will be open to the public:

- Vrisaki – Lavrion
- Gerogombos – Kefalonia
- Gouruni – Skopelos
- Drepano – Chania
- Kassandra – Halkidiki
- Castries – Othonoi
- Shinari – Zakynthos
- Kranaj – Gythio
- Megalo Embolo – Thessaloniki
- Melagawi – Loutrakiou
- Plaka – Lemnos
- Korakas – Paros
- Kokkinopulo – Psara
- Alexandroupolis – Alexandroupolis
- Tainaro – Laconia
- Koprain – Arthas
- Kaki Mullet – Chalkis
- Monemvasia – Laconia
- Lakka – Paxos
- Vasilina – Evia
- Pappa – Ikaria
- Spathi – Serifos

The possibility of visiting – from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00.
