A waiter at a restaurant in Zakynthos rescued a customer who choked while eating.

The woman was saved by the fact that a restaurant worker in the Kalamaki area had first aid skills. The immediate and correct application of the Heimlich maneuver proved to be life-saving for her.

Her companion tried to help her by patting her on the back, but that did not solve the problem. One of the waiters used the Heimlich maneuver, which unblocked the woman’s airway, and she began to breathe with pleasure. The owner of the restaurant called an ambulance, which took the visitor to the hospital.
