Ukraine and Greece, at the level of ministries of foreign affairs, have held talks on future security guarantees.
According to the Greek publication Ekathimerini, Kyiv’s defense requests include air defense, armored vehicles, artillery, fighter aircraft, and ammunition. The parties discussed the restoration of Ukraine after the war, as well as its inclusion in the Western European economic framework and energy security. The publication notes:
“Athens and Kyiv recently held direct talks to conclude a bilateral agreement that would result in a kind of commitment on the part of Greece to provide security guarantees in several sectors, not just defense.”
